Palladium black

The palladium chloride process entails the formation of palladium hydroxide using lithium hydroxide followed by reduction under hydrogen gas while the palladium(II)-ammonium chloride route employs a solution formic acid followed by the precipitation of the catalyst using potassium hydroxide.
